The John and Paul Show

Chicago sketch comedy veterans John Klingle and Paul Brennan brought their anarchic humor back to the stage, a raucous celebration of dysfunctional friendship.

About JOHN AND PAUL

John and Paul played John and Paul, respectively, juggling the roles of emasculated fathers, naïve prison guards, and problematic method actors, all while struggling to keep their corporate sponsorships in the first installment titled JOHN AND PAUL: STRICTLY PLATONIC. One year later, following intense public demand, JOHN & PAUL returned with a brand new comedy revue that critics noted was "good" and "shorter than their last show," called JOHN AND PAUL: GET RICH QUICKER, in which Chicago's funniest dialectical materialists served their audience an apoplectic mix of screwball comedy and lucrative sponsorship opportunities. And then, for the third time in history, JOHN and PAUL showcased their trademark mix of sophistry and slapstick in JOHN AND PAUL: NEWER THAN EVER, their mostly-new comedy show. This time, the hapless duo catapulted themselves into the age of market optimization and demographic trendiness under the guiding hand of their mysterious new benefactor, teenage wunderkind Jannik Torvald. John and Paul weren't returning by popular demand; they were just adhering to it.
